Antonis Michalopoulos was born in Volos, Greece in 1992 and lives in Basel, Switzerland. He graduated with honors from the Higher School of Dramatic Art of the National Theatre of Northern Greece (2014) and from the Law School of Aristotle University Thessaloniki (2016).
 
As an actor he has performed for the National Theatre of Northern Greece, National Theatre Greece, Athens and Epidaurus Festival, Dimitria Festival as well as for independent productions. He has performed several times for Origen Festival Cultural in Graubünden, Switzerland and he is an ensemble member of the Deutch-Griechisches-Theater in Cologne, Germany. He has worked as director’s assistant and has interned in stage direction at Theater Neumarkt in Zurich. He directs performances and interdisciplinary projects and holds theatre workshops.

Keen on multicultural synergies and based on his transdisciplinary education, Antonis is active in cultural management as well. He is the artistic director of ENDLICH MITTWOCH, the cultural program at the Stanzerei in Baden, Aargau. He is member of the organizing committee of the European Youth Choir Festival Basel. In the past, he has worked as production collaborator for Origen Festival Cultural, as event manager for UNION Cultural Center in Basel and he has been part of the organising team of Gartenkonzerte unterwegs Festival 2021.
